Birdman: Film Introduction and Impression

鳥人: 電影介紹與感想

This movie was about an actor Riggan, who was famous decades ago. His best known movie was birdman. Since he rejected birdman 4, he felt very down and out. In order to save his career, he produced a play and self-directed and performed it on Broadway. Riggan and is actors worked hard to rehearse their first performance. Besides his work pressure, he also had to face inner stress and his family. He often saw hallucinations. On the opening night, Riggan used a real gun to break his nose in the final scene. Finally in the hospital, his friend told him the play got high public praise. When Riggan went to the bathroom to dismantle his bandage, he hallucinated that he saw the birdman again. Riggan walked out of the bathroom, climbed onto the window, then disappeared. The final camera shot was his daughter looking at the street and then the sky, showing a happy smile.

這部電影是在講述幾十年前非常有名的演員雷根，他被人們所熟知的電影是鳥人。 自從他拒絕接演鳥人4之後，他變的非常的落魄。為了拯救他的事業，他自製自導了一齣戲並且在百老匯公演。雷根為了初演與他的演員們非常努力的排練。除了他的工作壓力之外，他也需要面對他內心的壓力以及他的家庭。也因此他常常出現幻覺。在初演的那晚，在最後一個場景雷根使用真槍打斷了他的鼻子，最後在醫院時，他的朋友告訴他公演得到非常高的評價。當雷根走到廁所要拆掉他的繃帶時，他又出現了幻覺再次看到鳥人，於是雷根走出了廁所，爬上了窗戶，然後消失不見，而最後一個鏡頭停留在他的女兒看著街道然後再看天空，露出開心的笑容。

This movie discusses things that most people encounter in their lives. I don’t want to comment on the professional shooting techniques and skills. In my opinion, the two most important things the movie talked about were having an unhappy life and family discord.

這部電影討論到大部份的人在生活中所會遭遇到的事情，我並不打算評論電影的專業拍攝與技巧，在我的想法中，這部電影要告訴我們最重要的兩件事是人生的不如意  以及家庭失和。

Because of his unhappy life and stress from his fame, Riggan had severe schizophrenia. He had a glorious period but now he is down and out. He hopes his life can return to the past, but unfortunately, there are too many younger superstars replacing him. He is facing bankruptcy, and birdman is the lingering past. His life is a microcosm of most people’s lives. If one of us had been a boss or a CEO, could we put down the past and restart our life? Or are we always thinking about the glorious times and self-pity?

因為人生的不如意以及名聲帶給他的壓力，雷根患有嚴重的精神分裂症。他有著輝煌的過去，但是現在卻失意落魄。他希望他的生活能夠回到過去那段時間，但可惜的是，有太多的年輕的明星取代了他，他也面臨著破產危機，而鳥人是他揮之不去的過去。他的生活就像大部份人的人生縮影，如果我們曾是個老闆或是CEO，我們是否能夠放下過去重新開始我們的生活?或是總是回想著過去的時光然後自怨自艾?

Family discord is the other thing that I want to talk about. Riggan was a star. He has a different life from others, this life makes him neglect his family. His daughter lacks her father’s love since she was a child, and also his wife divorced him. His daughter did drugs and went to rehab. She doesn’t like her life, and doesn’t agree with her father and his glorious past. However, after Riggan tried to kill himself on the stage and then the theater got a high rating, his daughter makes up with him. It is very ironic because her father becomes famous again.

家庭的失和也是另一個我想要探討的事情。雷根曾是個明星，他的生活與一般人不一樣，但這樣的生活卻造成了他對家庭的疏忽，他的女兒從小缺少父愛，而他的妻子也與他離婚，他的女兒也曾吸毒並進過勒戒所。她不喜歡她的生活而且她也不認同她父親以及他輝煌的過去。然而，在雷根企圖在舞台上自殺而後戲劇得到很高的評價後，他的女兒與他和好了。而非常諷刺的是因為她父親再次的變的很有名。

That is what life is all about isn’t it? We can’t change the past, but we can choose how to do in the future. It’s up to us.

這就是人生不是嗎?我們無法改變過去，但是我們可以選擇未來要走的路，決定權在於自己。
